An antique Sanandaj rug, ideal for those who appreciate geometric designs.
Sanandaj carpets are renowned for their beautifully structured geometric patterns, filled with fine, intricate details. They are also known for their distinctive natural sheen, which becomes even more lustrous with use over time.

This unique brilliance is attributed to the copper and zinc-rich mineral deposits in the Sanandaj region of Iran. Local sheep graze on plants containing trace amounts of these minerals, resulting in wool of exceptional quality. For this reason, Sanandaj is considered to produce some of the finest carpet wool in the world.
